DIY “Headache Relief Oil”

There are several types of headaches; in fact, 150 diagnostic headache categories have been established.

The most common primary headaches are:

Cluster headache
Migraine (with and without aura)
Tension headache (Also known as tension-type headache)
Trigeminal autonomic cephalalgia (TAC), including cluster headache and paroxysmal hemicranias

The pain come and goes over a prolonged period of time and many times it’s just too painful to handle in the day to day life. However, with little essential oil mixtures it can help relief the pain.

DIY “Headache Relief Oil”– Technique #1

Things you need:
1 roll-on bottle
Peppermint essential oil
Eucalyptus oil
Frankincense essential oil
Lavender essential oil
Magnesium oil (Carrying oil)

Ingredients:
15 drops peppermint essential oil
3 drops of eucalyptus oil
5 drops Frankincense essential oil
15 drops lavender essential oil
Magnesium oil

Instructions:
1. Pour all the essential oils into the roller bottle first.
2. After all essential oils are mixed together.
3. Add just enough magnesium oil to reach the top.

To use:
Roll carefully on skin. For headache, use it on the back of my neck and shoulders

 

Simpler Recipe – Technique #2

Things you need:
1 roll-on bottle
Lavender Essential Oil
Peppermint Essential Oil
Magnesium oil (Carrying oil)

Ingredients:
12 drops Peppermint Essential Oil
12 drops of Lavender Essential Oil
Add Magnesium oil (Carrying oil)

Instructions:
1. Pour all the essential oils into the roller bottle first.
2. Then add just enough Magnesium oil to reach the top.

 

Essential Oil Benefits:

Peppermint Essential Oil is known to be calming and numbing. Its cooling and anti-inflammatory properties are part of the reason why it is so successful at relieving headache symptoms, and it is even used to reduce the pain of migraines.

Eucalyptus Essential Oil helps to relieve stress and pain. The volatile eucalyptus oil is analgesic and anti-inflammatory in nature.

Frankincense Essential Oil promotes deep breathing and relaxation, which can open your breathing passages and reduce blood pressure, moving your mental state back to calmness.

Lavender Essential Oil includes its ability to eliminate nervous tension, relieve pain, disinfect the scalp and skin, enhance blood circulation and treat respiratory problems. Lavender is also known as an excellent remedy for various types of pains including those caused by sore and tense muscles & muscular aches.

Magnesium Oil contains a high concentration of magnesium chloride, plus other minerals. It is not an oil, but when you put it on your skin it looks and feels a bit oily. It’s simply called magnesium “oil” because of the oily feel of magnesium chloride suspended in water. Magnesium is absorbed much more effectively through contact with skin. Health benefits of magnesium: Improves sleep quality, calms overactive nerves, relieves stress, boosts energy level, strengthens immune system, hydrates and strengthens skin and helps relieves aches, pains, spasms.
